Moby Wrap
Some days I work so hard to be sure Adelaide is comfortable, and then once she falls asleep I try to lay her down so I can do something (like make something to eat, laundry, the normal things that I used to do with no problems). As soon as I set her down she usually wakes right up and looks at me with those little eyes to tell me she wants me to hold her. I have been practicing wearing her her in the wrap around the house. Usually she loves it and will fall asleep soon after I put her in there. My next goal is to figure out how to feed her when she is in there. I also have the maya wrap that i use when we go out. Here is us today in the moby =)

More Snow
It snowed more last night, and another snow storm is on the way. Here are some more pictures I took today. They say it's the biggest storm since 1980. So far our toilet pipe has frozen, our washing machine froze, and our diaper service people aren't doing deliveries so we are in need of diapers. The mail is on hiatus as well. I think Myles is getting cabin feaver. I'm cozied up with the baby so I'm not minding the weather one bit =)

Arctic Blast
We have been getting tons of snow and freezing rain for the past few days. They say it will keep snowing, so we will have a white Christmas for sure! There is a lot of snow, and then it all has a layer of ice on top, so it makes it crunch when you walk on it! The freezing rain has froze to our windows in the living room, so it's like we have stained glass windows =) I really love the snow and am thankful for our great heater and our wood stove. We are nice and cozy in the house, but I ventured out to get some pictures. The news is saying this is the worst storm in a very long time, but I remember it being this bad when Myles and I moved here. Everything is beautiful. I wish Adelaide was big enough to take her out there, but I think it's just too cold. We will just hope our power stays on, and keep cozy in our little house. It's been a really fun winter so far. I love it!

One month old - fresh out of the bath!
Adeliade is already a month old today. We celebrated by sleeping in, taking lots of naps, and feeding her lots of milk. She also got a bath, and though she hates the bath itself, she was pretty happy once it was all over. I hope you like this video. I know she is my baby, but I find it quite adorable!

Adelaide was an egg
I was thinking about how Adelaide came from one of my eggs, and how women have all of their eggs already in them at birth. So Adelaide has always been with me. And this also means that my little girl is carrying the egg or eggs in her now that might someday become her own precious babies. Maybe that is why I feel like she has always been with me, because she has. She is such a part of me.
Today Adelaide slept ALL day. I feed her a few minutes, and then it's back to sleep again. I guess that means that she is growing. I want her to stay little, but I guess she has to grow, it means she is healthy. She sleeps so good in my arms too. I love how comfortable she is when she's with me. I just love her so much.

Joan and Jerry
This weekend Myles mom and her husband Jerry came to meet Adelaide. It was a relaxing weekend. Joan made us all kinds of really good food and we just hung around the house. It makes me sad that we live so far away from all of our family. I just know that Portland is where we want to be, but I wish our families were closer. At least it's a quick plane ride away! They brought their dog Callie, who is the cutest thing ever. She didn't bark at all, and is just so sweet and cute! We set up the tri-pod so we could get a group shot of all of us together.

2 week check up with Catherine
Today we had our 2 week check-up with our midwife Catherine. I was so glad to see her because my stitches were not dissolving like I had hoped, and I needed help! She was able to take the external stitches out for me. It HURT, but I held Adelaide and tried not to think about it. The pain could never compare to what I had felt before so I knew I'd survive.
Adelaide now weighs 9 lbs and 6 oz! I guess this is really good. Catherine said that they just hope that the baby has gained it's birth weight back, so the fact that she had gained a pound on top of that was a really good sign that she is thriving. She is now 21.5 inches tall, so has already grown an inch and a half!! Her head was 37 cm around, so grew one centimeter as well. She also got her second PKU test done which was sad. Catherine had to prick her heal and she hated it! The first test came back with everything normal, so we will hope this one does too.
