Halloween Costume

I knew for several months now that I wanted Adelaide to be Max for Halloween. He is from the book Where the Wild Things are. For some reason I just thought it would be a cute costume for her. It took me a while to figure out how to make it work. I took a trip to Joann's to get some felt, fake fur, and giant buttons. I put this all together hoping that I wouldn't have to make the crown, but then decided that it was necessary to make in order for others to tell who she is supposed to be! I took these photo's during the process. In the end I have moved the buttons around and added the crown. Also notice her furry feet, and the pink tail =) Stay tuned for the final pictures of her with it all together.

Things to do

Here is a list of things I'm trying to get done ASAP.

1. Make Adelaide's Halloween costume
2. Finish Molly's baby shower gift
3. Make and send Adelaide's Birthday Party invites
4. Finish Jamie's photo and get her approval to start her cards
5. FINISH KNITTING STOCKINGS
6. Work on B-day gifts for a bunch of boys I know.
7. Figure out Adelaide's gifts for Birthday and Christmas.

Charleston Part Deux

Here are some pictures we took while we were walking downtown. It was SO BEAUTIFUL down there. So much history, so many beautiful old buildings. It really felt weird to have the ocean on the other side. I must say I'm not used to that!

Here we are at lunch where we stopped for a break. Myles and I shared Cordon Bleu - it was delicious!

The next day we went to the beach at Isle of Palms. It was very beautiful, and Adelaide's FIRST TIME at the ocean! She really loved it and had a good time laughing at the birds.

Adelaide with Jamie's dogs =)

And while we were there Jamie cut off all of my hair and dyed it red again! I was due for a change, and this was BIG! I must say I will always be a hippy at heart, and this change will take some getting used to. Jamie is such a great hairdresser though and did such a good job on it! Thanks Jamie!! This is the best photo I have:

And here is me and my BFF Jamie Lynn - we were getting ready for bed so never mind the tired faces!

The second week was not as pleasant. Unfortunately we spent Tuesday through Sunday in Jamie's house, with me in bed most of the time. I got a horrible stomach virus, and then passed it on to Myles, Jamie and Tucker. Luckily Adelaide did not get sick somehow...but it was horrible. I haven't been sick like that in a long time, and don't remember ever feeling so awful. At least we were in Jamie's cozy house and I had everyone to take care of me and Adelaide which was such a big help. It's to bad it happened on our trip, as we had so many fun things planned to do. I guess that's the way it goes though, and more than anything we got to spend quality time with family, and Myles got to meet Zeb and hang out with everyone that is so important to me, so it was well worth the trip.
On a brighter note I will end with a picture of Adelaide in her cool chair we got for her to eat in, and her in the big tub for her first time ever. She really like it!

South Carolina Part 1

We made it! I had been nervous about the long flights with Adelaide for days, but she did really well! I always freak myself out about these things for nothing. I am also happy to say that I have been fighting my fears of flying for years, and I'm getting much better. We flew into Dallas and then to Charleston. The flights were not bad and Punkie only got a little restless at the end of the first flight, but it wasn't even that bad. We apparently brought the cold weather with us however. It's been very cold and rainy here, just like Portland. We are looking forward to more sun this week so we can do some sight seeing. It was a great weekend though because Lisa (nanabird) was here as well so we all got to visit and hang out together doing family stuff. That is my favorite thing to do anyway so I am happy! She left this morning though so now it's time to hit the streets, the water, and all else touristy. Here is Adeliade on the plane reading her book. She looks so old here!

And below is Adelaide and her cousin Zoe. They love eachother and are so cute together!
Some shots Myles took from the boat ride he and Tucker went on the second night here.
Zoe throwing rocks from the pier
Beautiful girls at breakfast

Breakfast at Vickory's - an amazing view!!!!

I fit them both in the stroller =) They were both giggling the whole way. Zoe and I sewed this hello kitty doll together.

Adelaide and uncle Zebby

If you look close you can see nanabird and Zoe down by the ship.

Happy Birthday my Love

Myles turned 34 years old today. We had a special morning together with Adelaide and then relaxed most of the day. After dinner everyone brought out a birthday cake full of candles for Myles to blow out, along with gifts. It was a fun day and I hope Myles wasn't too embarrassed. I love him so much and hope he had a fun birthday.

Pumpkin Patch

We went out to Sauvie Island to two separate pumpkin patches.
You can see the pumpkins growing to the right. Adelaide is showing Myles something out in the distance =)

We went into the animal barn and Adelaide really like the chickens.
